Obama once said something like, “We live in the greatest nation in the world, come help me change it.”
Should have said, “Help me make it better”.
Obama is now disavowing his pastor, maybe too late!
I raise my beer and drink a toast to all those bitter, Christian, gun owing folks in PA.

Brazil states that it has found two oil fields that may end Western Hemisphere reliance on Mid East oil. They expect full production by 2020. Good points: we may not have to deal with the Arabs anymore. Bad point: we can put off having to find a new way to propel our vehicles. One idiot [...]

This was sent to me by my son who works in Washington, D.C.
On Saturday, April 19, 2008, I had the fortune of participating in something truly extraordinary and heart-warming. I volunteered to be a greeter at Reagan National Airport in Washington, DC as WWII veterans came here to go to [...]

LITTLE BLACK DOG
by Allen V. Murphy

Many years ago, I worked with a team
Of advisers in that Asian steam.
The Province of Sa Dec was quiet
Except for the annual New Year’s riot.
Then, one day there came this mutt

He bit a man then ran away.
The Vietnamese caught [...]

It seems that millions of immigrants in America are quick to catch on to our laws of Free Speech. Many times, and more recently in Hollywood, over a thousand immigrant Chinese have used their free speech rights to demand that Jack Cafferty of CNN retract or apologize for his use of the Free [...]

I have done a lot of pondering since I retired, mostly about the things that I feel need fixing. In the future, I’ll be addressing educational problems such as No Child Left Behind (which works if you don’t go anywhere), subject issues such as Science and Social Studies in the lower grades, and the lack [...]

No Child Left Behind is a program based on the premise that if sufficient resources are spent on a child he/she will be able to learn as well as all the other children. A corollary to this is that the child should not be left behind while his/her peers move on. Therefore, no one goes [...]

I see in the Drudge report that some Indian psychiatrist or psychologist says that environmental disasters such as floods and storms cause psychiatric illnesses and global warming will only make it worse. Boo Hoo! The reason people can’t handle it is because of all the liberal namby-pamby gush of the last 40 years. When people [...]

Many people cannot understand why a man would be a soldier. They cannot understand the concept of the professional soldier. It is beyond them why anyone would dedicate their life to fighting in the defense of freedom not only for their country but for other countries. When a soldier dies in battle, dies doing the [...]
